About this procedure
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment uses a small sample of the patient’s own blood. The blood is spun in a centrifuge to concentrate platelets, and the resulting plasma is injected back into the scalp.\n\nThe concentrated growth factors in PRP are thought to support the scalp environment and hair follicles. It is used as an additional option in the management of common hair thinning, alongside medical treatment.

How the procedure is done
A small blood sample is drawn from the arm and processed in a centrifuge. Numbing cream may be applied, then the prepared plasma is injected into the scalp in small amounts.
Recovery & aftercare
The scalp may be sore and slightly bruised for a day or two. Normal hair care can usually be resumed within 24–48 hours. A course of sessions is recommended, with reviews to track response.
